DID YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VGT CALIBRATION AND VGT SOFTWARE UPDATING?

Dec 23, 2020

VGT calibration is a needed functionality in order to calibrate the newly installed component. This needs to be done every time there’s an initial installation or swap of the VGT. This is always done when the component has been detected as operating ‘out of range’.

However, Fault Codes 1894, 4956, 4957 and 5177 on Cummins require to update the internal software of the component in order to make it work.

Odds are you are spending a lot of time and money trying to figure out what is going on, which now, knowing that it’s available in Jaltest, you can fix in no time.
