This unit, known as Battery Energy Monitoring (BEM), monitors the current, voltage and temperature of the batteries to determine their condition.

In case of battery replacement, it is necessary to perform a maintenance operation with the Jaltest diagnostic tool to reset the measurement status or establish certain parameters of the new battery, such as its identification code, reference, capacity (Ah) and Cold Cranking Amps (CCA).

It is necessary to carry out this procedure when multiple error codes are encountered, for example:

• 520197-2: Battery. Without programming.
• 520192-18: Charge level of the battery. Value too low.
