Check the electrical signals with Jaltest PTE

THE NEW DEVICE DEVELOPED BY COJALI FACILITATES THE CHECK OF ELECTRICAL SIGNALS OF TRUCK AND TRAILER AND ALLOWS YOU TO SPEED UP THE FAULT RESOLUTION.

The Spanish multinational Cojali, leader in the manufacture of components and diagnostic and telematic solutions for commercial vehicles, launches its new Jaltest PTE (Portable Trailer e-Supply) equipment on the market.

Framed in its range of professional workshop tools Jaltest Tools, Cojali has developed a new portable device capable of quickly and safety verifying the power supply and the signals that are transferred between the tractor head and the towed vehicle, such as lighting, signalling signals, and CAN communication.

Workshop autonomy and time optimisation.

Jaltest PTE has two operating modes, depending on the type of vehicle in which the check is required..

It uses an intuitive LED interface that checks and shows the status of each signal, reducing significantly the time spent on checks and fault detections.

Basic notions of use.

It is made of a rugged case with two 12 V rechargeable batteries in series, an electronic board and a touch keyboard, which includes different keys to scroll through the menu as well as two-colour LEDs that guide the user at all times.

In addition, it includes two inputs for the ISO 7638 and ISO 12098 connectors through which the different checks are carried out. Green indicates the signal that is working properly, but orange or red indicates a fault or the absence of the corresponding signal.

Use of the equipment as an external 24 v power supply

Finally, the equipment is designed to work without the need for external power supply, an additional quality which deserve to be highlighted.

As a result, it can be used as complement of the Jaltest diagnostic tool when performing diagnostic processes in the electronic control units present in the towed vehicle, such as, the EBS module, when a nearby socket is not available.
