SPEED UP THE SPEED SENSOR CHECK WITH JALTEST SST

THE NEW DEVICE, DEVELOPED BY COJALI, VERIFIES THE CORRECT OPERATION OF ACTIVE AND PASSIVE SPEED SENSORS, AND OF THE ECUs TO WHICH THEY ARE CONNECTED.

The Spanish multinational Cojali, leading manufacturer of diagnostic and telematic components and solutions for commercial vehicles, launches its new Jaltest SST (Speed Sensor Tester) testing equipment.

As part of its Jaltest Tools range of professional workshop tools, Cojali has developed a new small portable device to verify the correct operation of active and passive speed sensors. Jaltest SST is also designed to simulate the behaviour of both types of sensors and thus detect possible errors in the ECUs to which they are connected.

Time optimisation in the workshop

The main objective of this tool is to enable the user, in the case of breakdown or malfunction, to quickly detect whether the damaged component is the sensor or, on the contrary, it is the control unit that is not processing the signal properly. This allows the user to easily identify whether the problem is a matter of power supply, short circuit, or open circuit. This procedure avoids more elaborate and complex checks and thus saves workshop operating time.

Comprehensive, Handy, and robust equipment

Jaltest SST is marketed in a small and resistant case to facilitate transport and handling, and it includes, in addition to the electronic device itself, a complete set of cables and multipins to allow connection in the sensor and ECU connector pins.

Its operating interface has a button and different LEDs which, in combination, activate the different operating modes. Depending on the colour obtained from the light signals, the result of the different checks will be determined.
