      Jaltest Diagnostics device can be used to execute OEM software through RP1210 and Pass-Thru. Besides, both Jaltest Diagnostics software and any other OEM software can be installed without further trouble in the same computer. Please note that it is not recommended to use them simultaneously.

      11. How many times can I install Jaltest software?

      There is no limit of installations as long as it is the same computer. However, if you need to install the software in several PCs, you can do it in three PCs at most.

      12. Which technical requirement should my computer have to install Jaltest?

      Jaltest Diagnostics is compatible with operating systems Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (support to 32 and 64 bits). Regarding technical requirements, the equipment must have: Intel(R) processor, Core (TM) i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.50 GHz or similar, RAM memory of 8GB, SSD hard disc, minimum available storage of 40GB (it is required NTFS file system), Microsoft Office 2016 or higher, minimum screen resolution of 1366 x 768, 2.0 USB port and higher, Bluetooth connectivity and Internet connection. If you do not have an equipment of these characteristics, you can acquire it along with the diagnostic tool.

      1. Diagnostic program update. How to perform it.

      When a new version is published, Jaltest Diagnostics software informs the user about the new version available. To install it, you must click on the warning that appears at the bottom. Download Manager program will automatically launch and ask for your permission to continue and start downloading all files required. When the download of these files is finished, you will only have to click the update button to install the new version.

      In this case you must contact your distributor to renew it.

      3. Where and how should I download the new version?

      The new Jaltest Diagnostics version is available at the private area of the website, in "Downloads" menu. To access your private area you must register as a user first if you have not done it yet. In the same way, if your licence is currently active, once the new version is published you will be able to download it directly from Jaltest Diagnostics software.

      1. Expert mode. What it is, how to obtain it and how to activate it.

      Jaltest offers advanced diagnostic possibilities for the workshop. With the EXPERT MODE, the technician is capable of performing actions that require the modification of parameters in different ECUs, such as sensor calibration (injectors, VGT, accelerator, etc.), system operation parameter configuration (injector coding, etc.), vehicle maintenance service configuration, system functionality certification, electronic control unit replacement or DPF regenerations, among others. To activate it, access the Expert Mode menu available at your client area and fill the required information. Once the information is sent, you will receive the code in you mobile phone and in the email address provided. To insert it into the software you must go to the main menu of Jaltest software, represented with three dots and select the option "Activate Expert Mode". Here you must insert the code you received and, after accepting, all the functionalities of the expert mode will be enabled.

In case of performing this consultation from Spain, our own technical assistance department will be able to give you an answer. Otherwise, in case you are a user from any other country, your distributor will be in charge of provide you with the support you need.
